I've been testing all clothes folding methods in the last two weeks to pack for my big moving trip. And I've discovered Pocket Method, my new favorite way to fold clothes for travel and moving.
How to Fold Clothes with Pocket Method
Why Pocket Method is better than other ways
Clothes are less wrinkled or stretched than when rolled
Ever unroll your shirt and found it terribly wrinkled? Did one of your sock become more stretched than the other after a few months being rolled in army style? Pocket Method doesn't cause these problems.
Not loose as rolling and traditional folding
Folded in Pocket Method, your clothes become tight blocks that can be tossed around without falling out easily. I bet you don't like re-folding them every time you move them around when packing. Obviously another win.
A bit more time-consuming but a lot more satisfying
It's generally similar to traditional folding, just slightly different in the end where you have to tuck a part into a "pocket". It may take more time at first but once you got used to it, you fold just as quick as usual. The result is undoubtedly rewarding, especially for people with OCD (like most of us haha).
Happy packing!
