Lyrics Explained S1E2: Etkö Ymmärrä - Ti-Ti Nalle

This children's song was composed by Petter Ohls (1948–2022). He was born in Lahti, the city Linh and I are moving to if things go well. (praying) 

I couldn't find the context in which he composed Don't You Understand. So I'm not sure who is talking to who in the lyrics. But I feel like one of them must be a kid, because they like whispering secrets and playing games. lol

Most Western languages don't show relation between speaker and listener through pronouns but Eastern ones usually do. So when translating to Vietnamese, my native language, I had to decide myself the relation between these two characters. I made the speaker a grandchild talking to grandma, because I imagine only an elderly person would struggle to hear a kid's whisper. lmao

It makes so much sense, doesn't it? What a sweet song.
