Dear Anxious People, Let It Be and Get Excited

I'm feeling fear.

It feels uncomfortable.

What can I do to stop feeling this?!

You can't, for now. Fear only goes away when you do that scary thing to find out it's not as scary as imagined.

I can only do it tomorrow. Actually, I can do it tomorrow already! Finally find out if I'll survive vocational school with my poor Finnish.

It's my first day tomorrow - 5.1.2026. I've been looking forward to it and then trying to hide from it since I got admitted.

I planned to practice Finnish everyday in December but then I got the worst flu in my life and was useless for over 2 weeks. When I recovered, I lost momentum.

The day has come and I'm far from ready.

I'll rely on my common knowledge as usual to navigate the situation. The first school day should be about registering modules and buying study materials, right?

I magically past the entrance language test as well as the motivation interview. I should somehow survive this too. I studied the curriculum thoroughly, their platforms as well. I did everything I could to feel less anxious but still I do...

The solution is to... surrender. Let it be. Let yourself feel worried tonight. Let yourself feel clueless and dumb tomorrow. It's okay. Dumb people are usually helped by kind hearts. Jee! That's how you'll attract good friends.

Voi!! A new adventure begins tomorrow. I can't wait.

See?! Once you accept fear, turning it into excitement becomes easy. They are surprisingly similar feelings.
